Sunday's Project

This was a quick top that took way to long, because of interruptions... It hangs wonky on the hanger because of the elastic in the neckline casing, but it looks good on. I do love the elastic in the casing, I don't feel like I'm going to flash someone every time I bend over, which I do a lot of at work. I had decided not to pattern match my fabric, based on several RTW items I looked at. I was fine with that, until I looked at it in this picture...

Simplicity 3678

S3678 These were quick and easy dresses- which is the way I like 'em! The front on the teal and black one was a tiny bit confusing- I ended up crossing the 2 pieces more than the pattern called for. The black one was made so I'd have a modest LBD ( little black dress). Something I've never owned and felt was lacking in my wardrobe. I hope to make a more versatile, not as modest (not so loose in the waist), sheath dress in black soon. I'm still mulling over patterns.
