Menu Plan- Week of March 29th

I'm excited to join Menu Plan Monday hosted by I'm An Organizing Junkie. Sometimes I don't get my plan together until Wednesday or later.... I'm hoping linking up to Menu Plan Monday will help me get my menu together sooner.

We aren't having an Easter dinner on Sunday, because I'm working. We will have ham dinner next Monday instead.

  1. Looks yummy. I have never tried creamed green beans, but they sound good, will have to find a recipe for it :)

  2. Leah,

My mom always did it this way- Melt 2 tablespoons of butter in a saucepan with veggies. Stir, then sprinkle on 2 tablespoons of flour, stirring again. Add milk to an inch above the veggies and stir until thickened.

Mom used canned veggies and white flour. I double the ingredients for a bag of frozen veggies and use whole wheat flour.

My mother-in-law taught me to make a white sauce/gravy by doing this without the veggies. We love it on meatloaf and mashed potatoes!
